It’s the 1st of December and the countdown to Christmas has officially begun! So I thought today was about time I shared with you my Too Faced Christmas in New York limited edition eyeshadow palettes. Just to prewarn this post is very photo heavy as these palettes are just too beautiful 😍.
This is the first time I’ve ever tried anything from the Too Faced brand and what an introduction!
First up is the Merry Macarons eyeshadow palette which has a cutesy macarons and ice skating at Christmas in New York. Just so adorable. I read that Sam from Pixiwoo felt that this was aimed at young teenagers but I personally as a woman in her early 30’s absolutely adore this theme…. the teenager in me is still alive and well!
The palette also came with a deluxe sample of Too Faced coveted Better Than Sex mascara. All I can say is wow the hype is real. I asboutely love this mascara, it gives my lashes super sized volume, lift and length.
And then there’s the eyeshadow palette. This isn’t any ordinary palette, oh no.
True to Too Faced standard this eyeshadow palette has a beautiful, subtle scent of vanilla macarons. Absolutely delicious.
This palette has a great selection of twelve eyeshadows with a great range of colours and finishes.
Each delicious eyeshadow is paired with an equally mouth-watering name.
There are a great mix of matte eyeshadows which have a beautiful, creamy consistency and blend like a dream. I particularly love Dulce de Leche, which as the name suggests in a beautiful caramel shade.
This palette also contains a range of shimmer finishes – which range from a subtle sheen like Praline to more chunky, glittery finishes like Honey Lavendar & Banana Cream.
Next up is the Grande Hotel Cafe limited edition triple eyeshadow palette collection. Yes, not one, not two but three gorgeous eyeshadow palettes!
First up the packaging is super cute. Inside the outer hotel packaging reveals the inside of the Grande Hotel Cafe which is all set for Christmas.
Inside also contains three stunning Christmas themed eyeshadow palettes.
Peppermint Mocha, Gingerbread Cookie, Eggnog Latte are the palette names and each also has a delicious corresponding scent.
So let’s dive into each mouth-watering palette.
The Gingerbread Cookie eyeshadow palette is one of my favourites.
It has a range of matte, shimmer and glitter finishes all with a delicious gingerbread cookie scent.
Ginger Cream is a beautiful highlight shade, perfect to accentuate the brow bone or make the inner eye corner pop.
One of my all time favourite shades is the stunning Gingersnap. This is a gorgeous warm gold/bronze/copper toned shadow which has an intense almost foil effect finish. Absolutely beautiful.
This palette also contains the beautiful bronzer Gingerbread. This is a great almost neutral bronzer which is great for my skin tone.
Next up is the Peppermint Mocha palette.
This has a great range of brown and berry toned eyeshadows.
Sprinkles is a particularly pretty berry toned shimmer shade which is great for this time of year.
I particularly love the pale gold shimmer Christmas Blend which looks great all over the eyelid.
Santa Baby blush is a great addition to this palette. It’s a beautiful soft pink shade which gives a pop of colour on the cheeks. Perfect.
And last and by no means least is the Eggnog Latte palette.
This has a great range of shades and finishes.
Skinny Latte is one of my favourites. This is a creamy, matte neutral brown shade which I absolutely adore.
Eggnog Latte & Iced Coffee compliment each other beautifully to create a beautiful everyday look with a hint of sparkle.
Cold Brew is also a gorgeous shade. Just the right amount of deep brown with silver sparkles.
One of my favourites (in the pan at least as I have yet to test it out) is the beautiful emerald green shimmer Central Park. I definitely want to try this out over the festive period!
The beautiful Peach Cobbler blush completes this eyeshadow palette. It has the perfect mix of peach and pink to add a soft glow to the cheeks.
