So as you may have noticed I have been somewhat AWOL from my blog this week. I have had to take an impromptu blogging break as the pressures of post-graduate uni life has caught up with me.
Yes it’s that time in the semester where I have several essay deadlines and I made the decision to put all my focus on the assignments. Please forgive me!
I hope to be back this week, but this cannot be guaranteed – I thank you all for your patience!
In between the never ending process of essay writing and editing I have been able to play around with some make up so I thought I would share a few of my snaps from my week.
I really enjoyed this simple make up look this week. I used Bette cream eyeshadow by Charlotte Tilbury across my eyelids and pressed in a small amount of Adora lipstick in the Kat Von D studded kiss lipstick range. Beautiful.
This was one of my more dramatic make up looks which was for Dave’s birthday last Sunday. I used my Kat Von D Serpentina eyeshadow palette on my eyes, pressed in some of the Trasher metallic eyeshadow in the centre of each lid and finished with a bold winged eyeliner using , of course the Tattoo Liner by Kat Von D. I finished the look with a bold lip using a Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in the stunning shade Vampira. This was a very bold and dramatic look for me!
As we were leaving the house I reached for my Kat Von D lipstick in the shade Adora and pressed this over my lips which created a beautiful, subtle metallic sheen with a hint of red to my lipstick. I absolutely love this lip combination!
On Wednesday I toned down my make up for uni. I used my Gwen Stefani x Urban Decay collaboration eyeshadow palette to created a beautiful, natural, matte eye look and kept my lips understated by using a Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector from Clarins. Perfect for a everyday look.
Please excuse the mess of our kitchen but we are in the process of having a fabulous new kitchen installed. At the weekend Dave’s dad bordered up this window in the kitchen (we do have another large window overlooking the garden so the kitchen is by no means dark) ready for him to install the tall new units next weekend. Yay I cannot wait!
I have been struggling with shaking off this damn cold all week so coffee has been a must! This is a photo of my coffee when at uni on Monday. A caramel latte with soy milk. Delicious.
On Thursday I decided a change of scenery was needed for my essay writing so I had lunch in Costa and met up with an ex-colleague for a much overdue catch up!
Of course I had to sample the Costa Christmas range so I enjoyed a honeycomb latte with soy milk. It was very very sweet but delicious nonetheless.
Keeping with the Christmas theme I had a turkey cranberry melt for my lunch. Yummy!
Inspired by the Christmas Costa coffees I ordered this litre bottle of the gingerbread syrup so I can make my own Christmas coffees at home. Perfect!
Last Sunday was Dave’s birthday so in celebration I made one of his favourite cakes – a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. This was absolutely delicious and he loved it.
Thanks for reading my brief Weekly Round-Up. I hope to post again on my blog this week. Thank you for all your continuous support 😀.
