Since Kat Von D Beauty launched in Debenhams in the UK last month I have amassed quite a collection.
I have especially fallen in love with the coveted Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks and now have five beautiful colours in my stash.
Application, Formula & Longetivity
First of all each full size liquid lipstick retails for £16 in Debenhams so it sits on the higher end of the spectrum.
I love the signature Kat Von D sleek packaging with the matte black and silver colours on the long, thin tube.
The applicator is a small doe foot which supports a smooth & precise application. The formula is incredibly opaque yet is so leightweight and smooth in texture.
The formula dries down to a beautiful matte finish very quickly. Once it sets it doesn’t budge, it won’t transfer and it stands up well against food – it will only need to be touched up after particularly oily food.
These are the first liquid lipsticks I’ve used which don’t dry my lips out. I find the formula very comfortable to wear all day.Lolita
Lolita is my most recent addition and is now my go-to, fail-safe, everyday shade.
I can see why this is a best-seller as it is just such a beautiful shade. It is my perfect mix of rosy brown and looks so natural on my complexion. Absolutely love it.
I got this mini everlasting liquid lipstick as part of the limited edition London Calling set and this is a slightly more rosy version of Lolita. Stunning.
Vampira is a deep dark red with a brown undertone. This actually looks a lot more dark on my lips than in the tube and is very vampy! Perfect for this time of year.
The only issue I have with this colour is it can apply quite patchy and will need at least two layers to get an even opaque finish. What’s great about this formula is that it can be layered and topped up without caking up.
This is much darker than the usual shades I gravitate towards but it is nice to mix it up sometimes!
Bauhau5 is such a gorgeous bright cool toned pink and I am in love with it. I love these type of shades and this shade suits my pale complexion perfectly. Gorgeous.
Bow N Arrow
Bow N Arrow is Lolita’s more neutral little sister. This is actual one of the palest lipsticks I own and is actually a much lighter shade than my natural lip colour which takes some getting used to. I do enjoy wearing it but it is very different to my usual rosy nude shades.
Thank you for reading and I hope you have enjoyed my little review. Have you tried any of these shades? What are your thoughts? I love reading and replying to your comments.
