Another week has flown by. I can’t quite believe that next week is reading week at uni – and possibly for the first time I will actually be reading as this MRes is pretty intense!
Despite a busy week I have been impressed with myself and I’ve managed to continue with my regular blog schedule and I’ve brought to you two new blog posts this week!
Blogging: Estée Lauder & Love Me Beauty
I have continued with my theme of beauty boxes this week and brought to you two new beauty delights!
First up is the extra birthday gift my boyfriend surprised me with in the shape of this Estée Lauder Breast Cancer Awareness beauty box. It is limited edition, costs £20 and £12 goes to supporting breast cancer charities. A great cause close to both our hearts & some great generous samples for me to try!

On Thursday I brought to you my first experience of Love Me Beauty – a beauty box subscription with a twist. I chose some samples from Make Up For Ever & Benefit.

Home: Comfort Food & New Kitchen
Autumn is well and truly here and I love nothing more than treating myself on study days with peanut butter, banana & agave nectar on toast with a generous mug of coffee. Comfort food perfection!
We finally ordered our new kitchen and it’s being delivered next week. Yay! However it won’t be installed for a while as Daves dad will install it for us.
We managed to get a good price on the kitchen and I even managed to get the Neff Hide & Slide oven I wanted.
I cannot wait to get swatching with various paint shades and choosing tiles etc!
Chiquitos: Kat Von D Make-Up & Mexican Food
On Saturday night we went out to a Chiquitos Mexican restaurant in Ipswich to meet up with some friends. It was great to catch up as time just seems to fly by and we hadn’t seen eachother since they got married two years ago!
I decided to go all out on my make-up and even wore my contact lens! I used mostly Kat Von D make-up and used my beautiful Serpentina palette to create this eye look. On my lips I went for the stunning Lolita Everlasting Liquid Lipstick. Gorgeous.
Dave is loving the Mexican food!
I was driving so I indulged in the mock-tail version of a mojito. So so good!
For food we shared nachos so starter which were delicious. However the jalapeños were rather spicy and we just couldn’t eat them all.
For main I originally ordered the Mexican salmon but they had run out of salmon so I opted for the mango cod instead. This was a really yummy dish but the cod was slightly overcooked as it was dry!
Thank you for reading, I hope you have enjoyed my weekly round-up. Let me know your thoughts as I love reading and replying to your comments.
