Love Me Beauty: October 2016 – The Unveiling

I promise this will be my last beauty subscription review this month! Promise! I have been loving beauty subscriptions this month and having read a lot of positive reviews of Love Me Beauty I decided to take the plunge.

Love Me Beauty is a monthly subscription with a twist – you get to choose exactly what you get each month. Fantastic. Each month you have 60 credits to choose which samples you want. This months edit contains a lot of products from Benefit, Make Up For Ever and Nuxe.

Each month Love Me Beauty costs £10 + £2.50 postage and packaging which gives you 60 credits plus an extra 30 credits every third month. I actually managed to find a Groupon offer and signed up for a three month subscription for £15 rather than £30 and just have to pay postage and packaging.

So what did I choose from this months edit?

First off I absolutely love the cute cotton make-up bag which this months edit comes housed in. ‘Life is Short Buy the Palette’ has definitely been my motto of late – more reviews to come over the next few weeks! I’m sure I will use this make-up bag, it seems to be made well and is a great addition rather than a more traditional box.

Nuxe – Hand and Nail Cream

I am amounting quite a stash of hand and nail cream, however this time of year an abundance of hand cream is absolutely needed! This is a great quality hand and nail cream and 30ml is a perfect size to keep in my handbag.

Benefit – Dew the Hoola

I have heard very mixed review about this liquid version of the wonderful Hoola bronzer from Benefit. I love the powder version of Hoola so I am very much intrigued by this.

Make Up For Ever – Artist Rouge Mat M401 Lipstick

I have never tried anything from the professional make-up brand Make Up For Ever so decided to use most of my credits on samples from the brand.

This is a beautiful true red lipstick shade which has a very comfortable and wearable matte finish. I am impressed by my first impression of the brand and including them in this months edit is a great way of trying products from high end brands before investing your money. Brilliant.

Make Up For Ever – Excessive Lash Arresting Volume Mascara

I have yet to try this mascara yet but it claims to create long lasting panoramic volume with a no-smudge formula. I enjoy testing out new mascaras so I am sure I will give this an honest review soon.

I am really impressed with the choices I made in this months edit. I think Love Me Beauty is a great beauty subscription where you can truly tailor your samples to what you actually want.

Once my three month subscription is up I will decide whether to stay with Birchbox or continue with Love My Beauty as I can only afford one beauty subscription now I am a student!

Thank you for reading. Have you tried Love Me Beauty before? Have you tried any of these products? Let me know your thoughts as I love reading and replying to your comments.

  1. Great picks, I’ve been tempted to resub to get some of the MUFE pieces – I got some when they first had MUFE a few months ago, but I don’t really wear red lipstick and have a pile of about 12 mascaras still to be tried and reviewed!
I got a dew the hoola in a magazine in the summer and I don’t like it very much I find it doesn’t apply smoothly and goes patchy – hopefully you’ll have better luck than I!
I’ve also had that hand cream before from Nuxe from a LMB last year and really enjoyed it!
