This has been a busy week what with uni, studying and of course the highlight being my birthday!
On Thursday 6th October I celebrated turning 33!…. I cannot quite believe I am now 33 as mentally I still feel 19…. But physically I definitely feel my age, if not several decades older – oh the joys of fibromyalgia!
Birthday Make-Up: Kat Von D
On Tuesday I posted about the simply gorgeous Serpentina limited edition eyeshadow palette from Kat Von D.
This was actually a very early birthday present from my wonderful boyfriend who presented me with this several weeks ago. I am so in love with this palette – check out my full review here: Review: Kat Von D Serpentina Eyeshadow Palette.
I have been mostly wearing Kat Von D make-up this week and I really don’t know how I lived without the stunning Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks. They have such a phenomenal formula & and colour range is spectacular.
One of my all time favourites just has to be the beautiful shade Bauhau5 which I am wearing above. Simply stunning. Love it.
Another love this week has been my obsession with all things Snapchat.
I particularly like playing around with the filters and sending hilarious snaps to my best friend.
Do add me if you use Snapchat my username is countrygirlem83 and let me know your usernames so I can follow your snaps! The photo above was actually of me all ready to go out for my birthday. Loved my birthday make-up.
On Thursday I celebrated my birthday. I turns 33 years old… I’m now heading towards my mid 30’s 😳😬.
I had a lovely day and was thoroughly spoiled by my friends, family & of course my boyfriend Dave! Not only did he surprise me a few weeks ago with the Serpentina Kat Von D palette but he also bought me some Spotify vouchers as he knew I’ve been using the free version to listen to music whilst I study. But that wasn’t it… Oh no, he also paid for a load of uni books for me and bought me the Estée Lauder breast cancer awareness beauty box.
Just look at all the brilliant goodies nestling inside of this box! I have always wanted to try the Advanced Night Repair from Estée Lauder so this is a great way of trying some great brands – all affiliated with Estée Lauder and raising money for Breast Cancer Research.
This was the truly scrumptious birthday cake we got from Marks & Spencer’s. This was so, so good. A delicate vanilla sponge with dark chocolate chips, sandwiched together with a layer of raspberry jam and covered in creamy, sweet white chocolate ganache & decorations. This tasted as divine as it looked!
On Thursday evening Dave took me out to one of my favourite restaurants Carluccio’s for dinner.
We started off by sharing this selection of antipasti and breads for start. Delicious! I decided to take a night off avoiding gluten & dairy. It tasted so good but the pain and fatigue which follows was not so good.
For main I ordered the penne pasta in a spicy sausage & tomato ragu. Again delicious.
I ordered a side of broccoli with toasted almonds and chilli. Really livened my meal up.
