What a week! I’ve had a busy week sorting out my study ready for my return to uni on Monday. This week also marked the end of my job and I had a lovely leaving lunch with some colleagues on Friday.
Tomorrow I start the next chapter and return to being a full-time postgraduate research student studying for my MRes (Masters in Social Sciences Research). I am really looking forward to immersing myself into the world of academia but that does mean that I may not have time to blog as much. So I do hope to stay with my current schedule of Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday but this may have to change, we shall see.
Beauty: Kat Von D Make-Up
So… The main theme of my week has evolved around everything Kat Von D Beauty. I can’t believe I have waited so long to try make-up from this brand! My generous boyfriend decided to treat me to an early birthday present and he paid for my Kat Von D splurge – Thanks Dave.
I have absolutely fallen in love with the lip products from the range; both the Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks and the Studded Kiss Lipsticks. I especially love the bright, vibrant pink with a blue undertone called Bauhau5.
It is just the perfect pink for me and I think it’s a great shade to see me through the transition from summer to Autumn.
I have also clearly been loving selfies this week! If your interested in my full Kat Von D Haul then click the link.
Food: Brownie & Icecream
As you may know my sensitivities to food can be quite extreme. However since my diagnosis and learning more about fibromyalgia I have realised that my IBS symptoms and food sensitivities are much more acute when I am not feeling great in myself and experiencing a flare up.
Luckily this week I have been feeling ok fibro-wise so decided to treat myself to this delicious brownie with vanilla Icecream and chocolate sauce. It was so so good and I didn’t experience any nasty consequences! Perfect.
Yesterday, after spending most of the day sorting through piles of paperwork with Dave I decided that I needed a creative outlet so I started work on a new piece of art. It’s still not finished but it’s taking space nicely. If your interested in looking, buying or commissioning a piece of art by me then check out my art website: Art By ELS.
