I hope that if you are reading this that you have had a good week. My week has flown by and I have been mostly feeling well – however my body is fighting back and rejecting gluten and dairy again…. So I won’t be indulging again for a good while!
Blog Posts: TILI & Get To Know Me
I am so pleased with myself that I managed to post twice this week on my regular Tuesday and Thursday slots.
On Tuesday I brought to you Try It Love It: The Unveiling. The Try It Love It or TILI box is a new release from the shopping channel QVC.
This first edition box contains 8 high end beauty products of either full size or a generous trial size. Do follow the link above if you haven’t read my full unveiling.
Beauty: Sheet Mask & Bold Pink Lipstick
My skin has been in desperate need of a bit of TLC and I decided to put this nourishing sheet mask which I got in a Birchbox to the test.
Apart from looking a bit strange in the process of using this mask I absolutely loved it. The mask was soaked in a beautiful serum which was super hydrating on the skin.
After weeks of only reaching for my nude and mauve toned lipsticks I was really feeling the bright hot pink of the incredible Firebird from the Gwen Stefani collaboration with Urban Decay. Just such a stunning colour. Absolutely love it.
Abbey Gardens Bury St Edmunds & Food
On Friday I had a friend from Lowestoft visit on the train. We spent the afternoon wandering around the beautiful Abbey Gardens in Bury St Edmunds.
The gardens have beautiful trees, flower beds and plenty for all to do!
We enjoyed an Icecream from the cafe and just enjoyed wandering around and having a good catch up.
One of the reasons I wanted to visit the garden, other than it being a peaceful and beautiful place, is because it is also a Pokemon hot spot!
There were Pokestops everywhere and there were hundreds of avid Pokemon trainers eager to find more creatures & battle for supremacy at the gym.
I managed to place myself between two lures and caught a lot of Pokemon.
When Dave finished work he picked us up from Abbey Gardens and we drove to the other side of the county to take my friend home. We all decided to have some dinner in Lowestoft and popped into the very busy Harvester.
I ordered the pulled pork burger and fries. It was delicious at the time but I’ve been regretting it over the weekend as my digestive sensitivities to gluten & dairy has reared its ugly head……
Art: My First Sales!
If you have been reading my blog for a while then you will know that I enjoy painting and have recently started an online ETSY shop. If you’re interested in browsing through my work then check out my website www.artbyels.co.uk.
This week I sold two pieces of my art work. One was this stunning original and bespoke abstract heart piece for a buyer who wants to suprise her husband for their wedding anniversary. She was very pleased with the finished piece and I really enjoyed creating this specifically to order.
