Try It Love It (TILI) Box: The Unveiling

If you caught my Weekly Round-Up: #1.7 then you would have seen my sneek peak at the first Try It Love It (TILI) beauty box from QVC.

As you know I am partial to a beauty box subscription and have signed up to Glossy Box in the past and am still a subscriber to Birchbox. However over the past few months I have been disappointed with Birchbox as a lot of the samples were just not for me.

Please step forward the TILI box from QVC. QVC is a great place to buy high end beauty products, many which are not readily avaliable in the UK (Tarte, IT Cosmetics & BECCA I’m looking at you!).

The TILI beauty box is not on subscription. You can choose which ones you buy. This first edition box was a mere £20 which included the postage and packaging and contains 8 full size or generous trial size products.

If you’re interested in getting your hands on one then click this link QVC TILI. The next box will be released in time for Christmas and I can not wait.

So what’s in the box?

Elemis – Start Cleanse Micellar Water (50ml Trial Size)

I am a massive fan of Elemis and was first introduced to the brand through QVC. I have recently began to wear waterproof mascara which is very stubborn to remove so I am looking forward to putting this micellar water to the test.

Alpha H Liquid Gold with Glycolic Acid (50ml Trial Size)

Alpha H is a premium beauty brand hailing from Australia. I have wanted to try Liquid Gold for a long long time as Caroline Hirons covets it highly. This was the reason I decided to buy the box! The full size is 100ml for £33.50 so this 50ml size is great value as it would set you back £16.75 ml for ml.

So far I have only used this once and I woke up with fabulously radiant skin. It suggests pouring some of the liquid gold onto a cotton pad and wipe over the whole face, neck and décolletage. It is advised to not put on any serum or moisturiser in order to get the full benefit of the overnight treatment and to use every other night.

This is a beautiful overnight exfoliating and rejuvenating treatment. When I first put liquid gold on my face I did notice a slight tingly sensation but this soon disappeared and it did not irritate my very sensitive skin. I am really looking forward to using this every other day for a few weeks and I’ll report back on the results. So far I absolutely love it .

bareMinerals – Skinlongevity Vital Power Infusion (7.5ml Trial Size)

I love a good serum and still have not found my holy grail product. So far I have been loving this serum from bareMinerals. I have been applying it morning and night to cleansed skin before moisturiser (in the evenings when I haven’t been using Alpha H).

This lightweight serum sinks beautifully into my skin and instantly makes it feel fresher and more firm. I have really been enjoying using this and will give a full review once I’ve used it all up.

BECCA – Backlight Priming Filter (6ml Trial Size)

BECCA is an American brand which we struggle to get here in the UK so I was really impressed to see this in the box and couldn’t wait to give it a try.

I have the Champagne Pop Palette by BECCA which I absolutely adore and this primer lives up to Champagne Pops incredible standard.

I like to use a primer in the summer months and this backlight priming filter gives a delicate healthy glow to the skin. It can be used alone to blur any imperfections on the skin or under make up which creates a long lasting base which is luminous and healthy. I have used this for several days so far and I love it. I don’t even have to use much foundation or CC cream when I use this primer which is fantastic.

Nexxus – Nutritive Replenishing System Shampoo & Conditioner (89ml each Trial Size)

This is a new brand to me which promises to leave your hair thoroughly cleansed and feeling and looking replenished root to tip. These are decent trial sizes even for my thick hair so I am looking forward to giving these a try.

Vita Liberata – Luxury Tan (25ml Trial Size)

Now I have to be honest I am not a beauty addict who tans naturally or with some help so I am somewhat ambivalent about this product. I am however curious to give this a go.

Essie – Ballet Slippers Nail Polish (13.5ml Full Size)

You cannot go wrong with an Essie polish and Ballet Slippers is a gorgeous creamy pale pink. It does however take several very thin layers to achieve a full opaque colour.

All in all I absolutely adore this first TILI box from QVC and am very much looking forward to the next edition!

A fantastic and affordable way to discover new premium brand products. Love it.

  1. Some great stuff in here. I too much prefer beauty boxes that aren’t on subscription because it means you don’t end up with loads of products you don’t use.
