So another week has flown by and it’s been a good week. The weather has been much more agreeable to me and I’ve been feeling well and most of all excited for the future. The main themes of my week have been beauty, food, Pokemon & painting!
Beauty: Nailbox, TILI & Radiance
I blogged once this week about this months brilliant Nailbox. If you missed my first impressions review then check it out here – Nailbox July 2016: The Unveiling.
I also received my Try It Love It (TILI) box from QVC. I spotted it last weekend and it caught my attention. I think this is the first time QVC have compiled a box like this and it is so so worth it.
I will be posting my full review next week so do remember to check back. This box was only £20 which included postage and packaging and it contained 8 products which were either full size or a generous trial size from premium beauty brands. If you want to find out more then click the link which will take you to the box on the QVC website TILI.
Also during the week I have been really concentrating on my skin care and my skin has never looked so radiant!
When my skin looks fresh and bright I don’t need as much make up and with this warm weather I have been loving applying just a dash or the CC Cream from Bourjois. Perfect!
On Thursday I made a visit to my best friend who lives across the border in Essex. Her husband is a teacher so is off for the holidays so we left him looking after their two children, Taylor who is 3 1/2 and Joshua who will be 2 in October and we went out for a child free lunch!
We headed to her local Marston’s Pub and I ordered the halloumi cous cous salad which was delicious. The halloumi was possibly more charred than I would make it but it was tasty nonetheless.
I am still addicted to playing Pokemon Go and yesterday I finally hatched a Pikachu! I am still a far way off catching all the Pokemon but I’m enjoying it nonetheless.
Painting: Project Kitchen
My dad is helping us transform our home now that he is retired. Our kitchen is very dated and in desperate need of a facelift.
We are planning on building an extension which will include a large open plan kitchen diner but this will take a few years of saving… So a temporary face lift is in order.
Above are several swatches of potential colours for our kitchen. I want it to have a yellow theme with a possible accent wall but I’m not sure on any of these colours!
Dad has painted the ceiling with a strong sealant which will prevent the staining seeping through once it’s painted a bright crisp white. It has already really brightened the kitchen so I am excited to see the final result.
Thankyou for reading and I hope you have enjoyed my weekly round-up. What have you been up to this week? Do you have any colour recommendations for me for the kitchen? I love reading and replying to your comments.
