Summer is literally around the corner and with the warmer weather brings a shake up in my every day make up routine.
Base : Bourjois CC Cream
This has become a firm staple in my make up collection. It is lightweight, has a great coverage, contains SPF and evens the skin tone without feeling heavy. The perfect quick and long lasting base for the warmer weather.
Concealer: Collection Lasting Perfection
This is a new addition to my make up collection and I can see why this has become somewhat of a cult favourite. For a very cheap drugstore concealer the coverage is amazing. I find it can be a bit drying and cakey looking on my dry skin, however as long as I ensure I use plenty of moisturiser it lasts really well. A great concealer.
Mascara: Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof
I absolutely love this mascara. The plastic wand and bristles are perfect for lifting and holding a volumised curl in the lashes. Being waterproof this is perfect for summer as it won’t smudge or flake. This is also easy to remove with my cream or balm cleansers. Love it.
Blush: Clarins Peach Blush
This was actually a free gift with a recent Clarins order and the first non-lip product I have tried from the brand. This is a finely milled highly pigmented blush in a two tone peachy pink shade. It has a very slight gold shimmer which doesn’t translate on the skin. This gives the perfect peachy glow to the face, beautiful.
Bronzer: Soap & Glory Solar Powder
I am so glad I bought this bronzer as it is just perfect for my pale skin. This gives just the right amount of a very subtle sun kissed warmth to the skin without being too much. I absolutely love this and could not be without it!
Eyeshadow: Maybelline Color Tattoo Eternal Gold
I don’t like wearing too much make up in the summer as any eyeliner will just run from my itchy hayfevered eyes! This cream eyeshadow, however, from Maybelline will hang on through almost anything! I love this gold shade as it gives a nice subtle shimmer to the eyelid and is perfect for a quick easy look or is great as a long lasting base for other shadows.
I have purposefully left out my spring essential lip product from this post as I just could not choose just one! So stayed tuned for another post dedicated to my favourite Spring lip essentials.
I hope you have enjoyed this post. What are your Spring essentials? I love reading and replying to your comments!
