Last month my Birchbox was incredibly late so it is only a couple of weeks since my last box! Not that I’m complaining, I always love receiving new beauty goodies and there are some interesting ones in this months box.
This months box has a dream theme. Initially I had thought the silver topped design was a bit strange but it transpires that this is a scratch away coating to reveal a quirky black, purple, turquoise and pink design much like the edges of the lid. Two lucky boxes have ‘you’ve won a dream holiday’ hiding underneath the scratch away surface – but alas not mine! So what did I get inside the box?
Spectrum Collections: Unicorn Tears Wonder Sponge full size £4.99
This month I got the choice of either a purple or pink make up sponge and I just couldn’t resist the soft lilac purple hue.
This make up sponge comes in a handy plastic zip lock bag. I am looking forward to giving this a try to test how it measures up to my other make up sponges.
Rituals: Tao Wai Wang Mild Exfoliating Body Scrub sample size, full size £19.50
I have received several products from the brand Rituals since subscribing to Birchbox. I do enjoy using the brand so I’m sure this will be no exception. A body scrub is perfect for this time of year to get my limbs ready for the summer.
Caudalie: Vinosource Moisturising Sorbet sample size, full size £23
I have often wondered what Caudalie products are like so was very pleased to see this in my box. I have also been trying out several different moisturisers recently as my skin has started to react to my regular skincare routine, so i am looking forward to giving this a go.
Philip Kingsley: PK Prep Polishing Balm sample size, full size £18.50
This hair product promises to nourish and give your hair a sleek glossy finish. Since chopping off my long hair I have become more interested in hair styling products and on first impressions I really like this balm.
theBalm: Stainiac in Beauty Queen sample size, full size £10
I have yet to try a full size product from theBalm but the samples I have received in various Birchbox’s have really impressed me. I couldn’t wait to give this beautiful red stain a try so I have swiped some on my lips. It gives a very subtle hint of red to the lips and being a stain it really holds onto the lips. Love it.
Vita Coco: Coconut Oil sample size, full size £9.99
This is a little extra which I am already quite familiar with. I use coconut oil in cooking but have yet to try it in my beauty regime. In the information booklet provided it suggests that the oil can be used to nourish dry skin, remove eye make up, as a face moisturiser or even as a hair mask. I am intrigued to see what wonders coconut oil can do to my skin!
What did you think of this months Birchbox? Have you tried any of the products? I love reading and replying to your comments.
