Birchbox – April 2016: The Unveiling

I finally received my Birchbox yesterday. It is much later than it usually is and has been delayed because of a delivery company error. Birchbox had kept me informed the whole way through so I knew it was taking its time.

I got to choose between two equally gorgeous box designs this month and I went for this beautiful Parisian rose garden print. This months box is a collaboration with the Rifle Paper Co. which are an American company who make stunning high quality stationery. I have been lucky enough to have been gifted two of their note books by an awesome friend so I know I love their style. Inside this months box is also a 25% off voucher for the online shop…. I do feel a stationery haul coming on!

So what did I get in this months box?

Firstly I must admit that I am a little bit disappointed that I didn’t get Benefit’s Dew The Hoola sample as all the other boxes I have seen online seemed to have it & I was really looking forward to trying it!

Parlor by Jeff Chastain – Detangling Leave-In Conditioner Sample, Full Size £17

This is my first Birchbox duplicate. I have been subscribed for close to a year and this is the first time I have received a product which I have had in a previous box.

Whilst this is a bit frustrating I know that I really enjoyed using this spray and it really tamed my dry, wavy, highlighted hair and I would never spend £17 on a hair product so this is another good way of continuing my use of a product without breaking the bank!

Kueshi – Foot Care Cream Sample, Full Size £ 12

Summer is literally just around the corner and my feet could do with some much needed TLC. Therefore this foot cream will be incredibly useful to try and salvage my dry cracked heels. I will let you know how I get on.

Nuxe – Huile Prodigieuse Sample, Full Size £17

I have never tried anything from the brand Nuxe and have often wanted to. So I was super excited to see this carefully bubble wrapped in my box this month.

This claims to be a multi-purpose oil containing a blend of six essential oils including sweet almond, hazelnut and macadamia as well as reparative plant oils & vitamin E. I am looking forward to trying this as a facial oil treatment as part of my evening skincare routine.

Benefit – BADgal Lash Mascara Sample, Full Size £17.50

As previously mentioned I know that other subscribers received a sample size of the Dew The Hoola which would have been a lovely liquid bronzer, I’m sure.

I however got the sample do the BADgal Lash Mascara. I am sure that I bought the full size of this several years ago but really struggled with the massive fibre mascara brush. I definitely prefer more of a rubber or plastic brush. It will be interesting to see if my initial impressions remain the same.

So Susan – Lip Dome in Melon Full Size £10

I enjoy trying new brands in my Birchbox and especially enjoy discovering new brands and shades of lipstick.

This promises to deliver on pigment, hydration and have a long wear time. This has a texture which is almost like lip balm in that it is so hydrating and comfortable to wear on the lips.

This is also a really pretty colour, I love the brown and pink tones in this nude crayon type lipstick. Love it.

I hope you have enjoyed this months Birchbox. Let me know if you received anything different from me I love reading and replying to your comments.
