I’m sure I’m not alone in having a love hate relationship with liquid lipsticks. I love the density of colour and the incredible longetivity but I cannot stand the way some of the formulas make my lips feel.
Some are so drying on my lips that the lipstick actually flakes off during the day – not a good look!
I also want to wear something which is more lightweight and forgiving as we tentatively step towards the summer months. I would usually lean towards a hydrating gloss but I was looking for something which has a long lasting colour pay off too.
I think I have found the perfect balance in my recent Bourjois Beauty Haul. Please step forward the Rouge Edition Souffle de Velvet in the pretty shade Ravin de Rose.
I am a huge fan of Bourjois lip products and have a fair few of their Rouge Edition Velvet & Aqua Lacque liquid lipsticks.
The Souffle de Velvet is something different. It is like a hybrid of the longetivity of a liquid lipstick with the hydration of a lip gloss which leaves a gorgeous sheer stain on the lips.
This colour is a beautiful soft coral pink which is perfect for the spring months. The formula glides on like water and is very sheer – so don’t expect the same intensity of colour which is in the tube!
This lasts well through out the day, even surviving food. It does fade evenly to a pretty stain which can be topped up with more product if you want to.
Thanks for reading. What do you think of the Souffle de Velvet’s from Bourjois? Let me know what you think, I love reading and replying to your comments.
