This week has been full of ups and downs and has included lots of lovely food!
Food: Sunday Roast, Beef Casserole & Giraffe
My little brother was back from China for a few days to renew his visa. I haven’t seen him in close to a year so we decided to take him out and treat him to a much-craved Sunday roast dinner.
We went to a local village pub near to where our parents live and filled our plates with a delicious roast carvery with all the trimmings. My brother devoured his as he really misses British food since living in China.
During the week I decided to put our slow cooker to good use and prepared a beef casserole. I was at home all day so the mouth-watering slow cooking aromas filled the house! So delicious and definitely worth the wait.
On Thursday I managed to muster the energy to meet up with a good friend for dinner. It was a great opportunity for her to see my new house and for us have a proper long overdue catch up.
Homebase: Step Ladder & Costa Coffee
Saturday was home decoration day and our mission was to put another coat of magnolia paint on the spare room which will be the study/office.
You may not know but I am somewhat vertically challenged standing at the grand height of 5’1” (at a stretch…) therefore I needed some sort of step platform device to aid my painting ability.
This week saw my first delivery of the Nailbox monthly beauty subscription box. If you missed my full review then check out my Nailbox – January 2016: The Unveiling.
Above is my first attempt using the products in my Nailbox – what do you think?
