Birchbox -January 2016: The Unveiling

I was so excited to receive the first Birchbox of 2016. This months box is a collaboration with Pinterest – I love Pinterest and the cute Pinterest inspired box does not disappoint. I really hope I will have the Best. Year. Ever.

So what did I get inside?

Parlor – Moisturizing & Repairing Shampoo and Conditioner (sample size, full size £16)

I have never heard of this brand and I have to admit I am not overwhelmed with intrigue when I find haircare products in my box! These promise to have lightweight formulas with strengthening ingredients and have a beautiful scent of ripe peach and freshly-cut grass. I’m sure I will give them a try.

Doux Me – Comforting Face Mask & Exfoliator (sample size, full size £18)

I do love trying new skincare brands and products so I am sure I will enjoy using this. This is a 2-in-1 skincare treat which can be used as both a mask and an exfoliator – what’s not to love?

Benefit – They’re Real Tinted Primer (sample size, full size £18.50)

I was firmly not a fan of the They’re Real Mascara much preferring the Rollerlash so I don’t have high hopes for this product! I’m not sure what I feel about a lash primer – is it really a necessary step in your make-up routine or another gimmicky product? Intrigued to give this a try.

Whish – Three Wishes Almond Body Butter (sample size, full size £14.50)

I have tried this brand before in a Birchbox  and these are great little body butters. Perfect for the January blues!

Jelly Pong Pong – Lighten Up Brightener (full size £14.95)

This product promises to brighten without any shimmer. Perfect for boosting your eyes by applying along your waterline or under your brow bone. I am intrigued to give this a try.

Birchbox – Compact Mirror (full size £4)

This is a very cute compact mirror; perfect for throwing in your handbag. I really love the #NOfilter tag design. I am sure I will get use out of this.

Birchbox Pinterest Inspired Postcards

As an added extra bonus this month I also received five Pinterest inspired postcards which are adorned with inspirational and quirky quotes. These are very cute and a nice extra.

Overall I am pleased with this months box. What did you get in your Birchbox? I love reading and replying to your comments.

  1. This is such a cute collab! I feel as if Birchbox have really upped their game lately. I unsubscribed a while ago because I don’t care that much about skincare, but this and the Skinnydip box in particular have looked fab.

I share your cynicism about a mascara primer though, is there anything left we’re not supposed to prime???
