So this post marks two firsts for me. Not only is it my first impressions of the stunning Gwen Stefani Urban Decay Eyeshadow Palette but it is also my first time using my new Canon EOS 750D. I am still experimenting and learning to use both so please bare with me!
I was gifted this beautiful limited edition eyeshadow palette by Urban Decay in collaboration with Gwen Stefani by my wonderful boyfriend for Christmas. I was so excited when I ripped open the wrapping paper to reveal the stunning gold and white box – I knew straight away he had managed to get this for me.
I love the bold packaging. It is very Gwen Stefani; bold, bright & makes a statement. I have been a huge fan of Gwen Stefani and No Doubt since the 90’s and have followed her career ever since. This is suprisingly her first make up venture, having already conquered the fashion world. When I think of Gwen Stefani’s make up look I don’t automatically think eyeshadow but bright bold lips. Lipstick will be her next collobaration with Urban Decay and I got a sneak peek with this palette and they are AMAZING!
This palette has a great range of pale nude colours in pigmented and buttery mattes, shimmers and glitters. This palette has all you need to create a variety of looks. The three bright shades are bold statements; Harajuku is a blue based pink with bold glitter pigments, Danger is a cobalt blue with bold glitter and finally the gorgeous 1987 which is a beautiful cool toned gold. Stunning.
This palette also has the perfect matte crease or transition shades in Anaheim, Stark & Zone, beautiful highlight shade in Baby and a stunning reddish brown in Punk, charcoal grey in Serious and matte black in Blackout all perfect for smoking out your look or lining your eyes.
Below are the products I used alongside the gorgeous eyeshadow palette to create my make up look.
Base – Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum
Concealer – Rimmel True Match Concealer
Powder – Soap & Glory One Heck Of A Blot
Bronzer – Soap & Glory Solar Powder
Blush – MaxFactor Lovely Pink
Brows – Maybelline Brow Drama Dark Blond
Mascara – Soap & Glory Thick & Fast Mascara
Lips – MAC Satin Lipstick Twig
This is the look I achieved. I used the three colours Anaheim, Stark & Zone across my lid as a base and used the darker shades to define my crease. I then used the beautiful Steady across the middle section of my lid to make the look really pop. Steady is an absolutely stunning almost rose gold shimmer.
All the shadows are super pigmented and so easy to blend. I am sure I will get lots of use out of this palette. Maybe even more so than my Urban Decay Naked 2 palette as it has more matte and everyday appropriate shades.
I would definitely recommend this eyeshadow palette – what do you think? I love reading and replying to your comments.

loved this post, the colours look stunning! I’ve never really been one for bold colours on my eyes so it makes me happy that the majority of this palette is more neutral colours!
I’ve just set up my own blog and would really appreciate a follow back if you could? Thanks 🙂 x
