It’s weekly round-up time and there is only 12 more sleeps until… Christmas!!!
The themes of this week have been, food, Christmas and beauty box fails. Now let’s jump right in.
On Monday I had a particularly stressful and truly awful day at work and as I got home I was excited to see the Yodel delivery man and knew it was Birchbox time. I happily signed for the box and then on further inspection I realised that it had been repackaged….
Inside the Birchbox clutch bag was ripped and the products inside smashed & broken. I was so disappointed!
As you can see the perfume sample was completely smashed and had leaked over everything…. On the plus side it did smell rather nice! The shower gel was also broken and had started to release foam everywhere. Absolutely gutted.
I contacted Birchbox and I have to say their customer service was really good – they sent me out a new box immediately and I received it by the end of the week in perfect condition. I will post my full review soon so keep checking back!
Food: Curry, Sushi Sweets & Macarons
Saturday night was X Factor and curry time. We actually bought these takeway meals from Tesco and they were rather tasty. Curry is definitely my favourite takeaway meal – what’s yours?
For our team meeting at work our manager brought in these cute sweets inspired by sushi and made by Chupa Chups. They tasted as good as they look. Yummy.
David treated me to Macarons this week and from Lidl no less. The vanilla and hazelnut ones were definitely my favourites. These look and taste amazing and would be great little gifts for Christmas stocking fillers.
Christmas: Secret Santa
On Thursday evening Dave went out for his works Christmas meal so I had a cosy night in by myself. Pure bliss.
Whilst Dave partied it up and exchanged secret Santa gifts. The theme was something you can wear for under a fiver. Dave got this rather fetching Christmas Tree hat! Wonderful.
I hope you have enjoyed my weekly round-up. Hope you have had a good week and remember only 12 more sleeps until Christmas!
