I can’t quite believe that this is my 26th Weekly Round-Up post thus marking its 6 month anniversary! I have been blogging for 7 months and the time has just flown by. I have loved every minute of my blogging journey and especially love being part of such a creative and supportive community. Thank you to each and every one of you who read my little blog.
Now on to my weekly round-up. The themes of this week have been: food, rocking a deep berry lip, finally getting curtains up and of course the countdown to Christmas!!
Food: Impromptu Dinner & Costa
So on Thursday & Friday evenings we went Christmas shopping. Thursday we headed to Toys R Us as we thought a Thursday evening would be less busy, and we were correct. We had plenty of opportunity to peruse the aisles.
My partner David loves Star Wars so we spent a long time looking at all the merchandise in anticipation for the new film release. After peeling David away from all the light sabers and Darth Vaders we did manage to buy some lovely presents for our friends children. Success.
On Friday night we decided to go to The Range & Next so had a pit stop for some dinner on the way.
For main I ordered the Piri Piri crispy chicken fillet burger with chips, onion rings and coleslaw. I didn’t eat the burger bread bun, I’m not sure about anyone else but I just prefer the burger to the bread. I’m not really a big bread fan!
After dinner we wandered around The Range but I have to admit I was somewhat underwhelmed by their Christmas selection. Next we headed to the homeware section of Next and I did buy a couple of beautiful baubles for our Christmas tree. We also stopped at the Costa in Next and I enjoyed the first of my Christmas coffees of the season; Sticky Toffee Latte. Delicious.
Beauty: Rocking a Berry Lip
I recently picked up this stunning deep purple berry toned lipstick by Rimmel and I’ve been loving it ever since. Check out my latest beauty haul here – Make Up Haul: Nails, Lips, Face, Eyes. The colour is super long lasting and perfect to take me through to the festive season.
I can’t believe that I have turned into one of those people who gets really excited about finding curtains. It took me ages to find some curtains I actually liked for our new living room… I am however not 100% convinced as I think they are too plain…
Countdown To Christmas
Christmas is only a mere 19 sleeps away so this weekend we brought out the Christmas Tree and started the festivities.
We also fell in love with this super cute Father Christmas we spotted in Tesco for only £5. Love him so so much.
Decorating the tree has really put me in the Christmas spirit. Our first Christmas together in our new home.
I hope you have enjoyed my Weekly Round-Up. What have you been up to this week? I love reading and replying to your comments.
