Since entering the wonderful world of blogging over the past six months or so I have accumulated quite a robust lipstick collection. Before blogging, lipstick was something I wasn’t too confident with; I would much rather reach for a balm or a gloss as lipstick intimidated me.
Now we are well and truly into the Autumn months and with the forecast of snow (yes snow in the UK in November) over the weekend I thought it was about time I put together my favourite Autumn appropriate lip products. Hope you enjoy!
MAC – Mehr
Mehr is a beautiful blue toned dusky pink shade with a comfortable matte finish. I reach for this shade when I want a pop of colour but I don’t want to rock a bold berry lip. Love this shade and love the quality of MAC lipsticks. This has a beautiful creamy consistency with a mouth watering vanilla scent.
Bourjois – Rouge Edition Velvet 08 Grand Cru
I am a massive fan of Bourjois and these Rouge Edition Velvet liquid lipsticks in particular. For my full review of the range check out my Bourjois Rouge Edition: Review post.
This stunning deep berry red colour Grand Cru is a new addition to my make up bag and this is the perfect shade to take me through to the festive season. The formulation dries down to a matte finish which is super long lasting and comfortable on the lips. Love it.
Revlon – Matte Balm 270 Fiery
This is another new addition to my ever growing lipstick collection. These Matte Balms are incredibly nourishing on the lips; the most comfortable matte finish lip product I have ever had the pleasure to wear. This Fiery shade is a beautiful berry red colour just perfect for this time of year.
Clinique – Lipstick Pop 13 Love Pop
I have had this lipstick for several months but opted for the more coral and pink shades over the summer months. This lovely purple toned lipstick with subtle gold shimmer has now taken centre stage. If your interested in reading my full review of the Clinique Pop Lipsticks here.
Rimmel – by Kate 30
I just had to buy this gorgeous deep purple berry shade (30) when I saw it in the aisles of Asda when doing my grocery shop. I love the Rimmel by Kate lipsticks, they have a great creamy consistency and have a good wear time. This colour is just great to add a depth of colour in the drab and cold autumn months. Perfect.
MAC – Twig
Twig was actually my first ever MAC lipstick purchase. I got sucked into the Kylie Jenner 90’s revival lipstick trend; I was however not disappointed. Twig has a satin finish and it is lovely cool toned brown. I love this for an everyday, no-fuss look.
L’Oréal – Infallible Lip Gloss 407 Smoke Me Up
This is actually a lipgloss with a matte finish and is very similar to a liquid lipstick but (in my opinion) not so long lasting. This is a bold and creamy berry shade with deep pink tones. Perfect for Autumn and winter.
Have you tried any of these lipsticks? What is your go-to shade for Autumn? I love reading and replying to your comments.
