I was so excited to finally be able to go into Superdrug on Sunday and have a good splurge! I had been keeping a list in July of the products I wanted to try and these were all on the list, so all considered, thought through purchases.
Now let’s get into it!
L-R: OGX Cherry Blossom & Ginseng Conditioner, Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Micro Polish, OGX Coconut Milk Shampoo, Maybelline Lipgloss Petal Plush, Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara, Maybelline Color Tattoo Eternal Gold, Rimmel by Kate 42 & 45 Nude Collection.
I have completely fallen in love with the OGX range of shampoo and conditioners. If you’re interested in my full review of the Lemon Highlight range you can check it out here.
These usually retail at £6.99 each which in my opinion is on the slightly pricey side. However they are currently on offer in Superdug for £4.99 each so a bit of a saving! I love the Coconut Milk range and wanted to get the shampoo and matching conditioner but they had sold out so I thought I’d try the Cherry Blossom and Ginseng conditioner. This smells divine! I’ll let you know how I get on.
Skincare: Naturally Radiant Brightening Micro Polish
If you caught my July Empties (check it out here) then you will know that I have run out of my trusty Superdrug Vitamin E face scrub. When searching the aisles for a repurchase I noticed this Naturally Radiant Brightening Micro Polish also by Superdrug which was on offer at 1/2 price, so it only set me back £2.45! Definitely worth a try. I’ve had a quick test on the back of my hand and it has much finer scrubby bits in than the Vitamin E face scrub. I look forward to giving this a go!
Make-Up: Maybelline & Rimmel
The wand on the lash sensational mascara looks very similar to the Benefit Rollerlash mascara which I absolutely adore. I have been watching and reading other bloggers rave about this mascara so I just had to try it. I’ll let you know how I get on, and if it is good drug store alternative to the Rollerlash I’ll let you know.
I absolutely love the Maybelline Color Tattoos they have been a real game changer when it comes to eyeshadow looks for me (check out my full review here). I love gold eyeshadows and think they really compliment my hazel eye colour so am looking forward to giving this a whirl!
I think these were released in July and I have been lusting after them throughout the whole month of my spending ban! These were always going to be an essential purchase and these have not let me down – Rimmel products were also on a buy-one-get-another-half-price offer to boot; I just couldn’t resist!
Both of these lipsticks are from the Rimmel by Kate Nude Collection and I just love the cute light peachy-pink packaging. These lipsticks have the signature creamy and super pigmented formulation you expect from the by Kate collections – just stunning.
I picked up shades 42 & 45 – there are five lipsticks in this collection so a perfect nude to suit all skin tones. Stunning.
42 is the lightest lipstick I own, definitely a tentative step outside of my comfort zone! However, I am glad I took the risk! This is a beautiful soft, creamy pale apricot-peach shade which I just love. Very different for me but I can definitely see this being my go-to every day lipstick.
45 is a stunning rose and mauve toned nude lipstick. This is a very good match to my own lip colour, just very slightly lighter. I love this lipstick and much like with shade 42 can see me keeping this beautiful lipstick close by!
Let me know what you think – have you tried any of these products? I love reading and replying to all your comments.
