It’s All About The Summer Base: Bourjois CC Cream

We are nearing the end of July and well and truely into summer over here in the UK. Instead of the usual dreary rain it is now super hot and humid! We tend to either have mediocre cool summers or stifling muggy and humid hot weather!

Sticky airless hot weather and make-up is not a good mix! Foundation just slides off my face leaving a hot mess so I have been experimenting to find the perfect light weight and summer proof base.

Mixing some of the Clarins Beauty Flash Balm and the Bourjois CC Cream creates a beautiful light base with just the right amount of coverage and the beauty flash balm acts like a primer boosting the skins radiance and boosting the staying power of the CC cream base. For my full review of the Bourjois CC Cream check it out here and for the Clarins Beauty Flash Balm here.

The beauty flash balm has a creamy yet light weight texture which absorbs into the skin beautifully leaving a smooth and radiant finish. The CC cream has a very light and watery texture which blends effortlessly to create a flawless look to the skin with a light to medium coverage. The three colour correcting pigments in the CC cream balance out any redness and and uneven patches – just perfect!

This has been my go-to base combination over the past few weeks and it hasn’t let me down. It lasts well throughout the day – I just need the odd touch-up with some pressed powder.

This is the perfect light weight base for summer! Let me know what you think – what have you been trusting in this hot weather? I love reading and replying to all your comments.
