Glossybox – July 2015: The Unveiling

This month is a beautiful collectors edition of Glossybox inspired by all things France! Jamie Lee Reardin is behind this months beautifully illustrated French themed box.

I just love the beautifully decorated box – this one is definitely a keeper! Perfect for storing my beauty bits and bobs for our impending house move! I also love the French patriotism with the use of bold blue, white and red shades and of course the wonderfully packaged and presented box – the same high quality I have come to expect from Glossybox.

So what did I get inside?

I received four items including one full size and a Glossybox exclusive travel pouch with the same exclusive artwork featured on the box. This pouch is cute but isn’t made from the most robust of material (not like this months BirchBAG – check out my review here) so I’m not sure how long this will last before getting damaged. I’m sure I will find a use for it!

Teoxane Cosmeceuticals – Perfect Skin Refiner (sample size) (full size £70)

This is a 15ml sample with a handy pump of a night skin care treatment. As you probably know I love skin care so this is a winner for me. This is described as containing ‘hyaluronic acid to plump and hydrate the skin, 10% glycol of acid to help resurface the skin and calming ingredients to reduce irritation’. This suggests to use it as a treatment every other night and to use an SPF during the day. I applied a small amount to my hand and it has a lovely light texture which was absorbed quickly into the skin, it did however, as the description advised, leave a slight tingling which soon passed.

Yves Rocher – Comme Une Evidence Eau de Parfum (sample size 7.5ml) (full size £24.50)

I do like to receive perfume samples and this one is in a lovely box and tiny bottle which is nice. I had a quick dab of this perfum and my boyfriend straight away turned his nose up and commented I smelled like his nan…. So not the best of first impressions! This has a definite musky floral scent but I would not describe it as light… Has notes of violet leaves, rose, lily of the valley and patchouli – this definitely packs a punch! Not sure if I will get much (if any) use out of this. Disappointing.

Lollipops – Lip Balm Délicieuse (Full Size Product 10ml £4.15)

I do love a good lipbalm and this comes in a particularly cute baby pink tube decorated in drawings of cupcakes and a variety of wrapped sweets – yummy!
This has a lovely creamy balm consistency and a very subtle sweet scent. I applied this straight away to my lips and it certainly applies beautifully leaving my lips soft and hydrated. This balm contains antioxidants and vitamin E and describes itself as protecting the lips from UV damage – so it must contain some sort of sunscreen. This is going to be a welcome addition in my make up bag. Lovely.

noxidoxi – Enhancing Serum Base (sample size 25ml) (full size £33.46)

This is a lovely serum which can be applied morning and night before moisturiser as a twice daily treatment for your skin. This is a good size sample to try and test for visible improvements to your skin. I love trying new skin care products so I am intrigued by this one.

I have to admit I was somewhat disappointed with having only received four products but as the majority is skin care related I am happy. I am looking forward to giving these all (perfume aside) a good try!

What do you think? Did you get the same or anything different? I love reading and replying to all your comments.
