What’s In My Bag: The Work Edition

So I thought today’s post would be a bit different. I love reading What’s In My Bag posts and watching these types of YouTube videos so thought I would share my bag and its contents with you. I tend to switch between two main bags; one for work and one for outside of work/weekend use. I will write a separate post about the other bag I use.

Now on to What’s In My Bag: Work Edition…

This is my trusted Cath Kidston double handled soft leather medium bag in a gorgeous bottle green colour. My wonderfully thoughtful boyfriend actually bought this for me for my birthday in October – he chose well.

This is a great sized bag and the leather is so soft and supple. The bag also has a range of zip secured pockets and easy accessible pouches, perfect for storing lots of essentials for work!

What I stash inside my bag…..

Pencil Case: I love this slim pencil case, perfect to keep a collection of pens and highlighters which I need on a daily basis in my job. I had been searching for the perfect sized pencil cases for months before stumbling across this perfect one in Paperchase.

Work Mobile Phone: This is a bog standard simple Nokia mobile phone which is issued by my work to keep up with calls and texts when out and about during the working day.

Ibuprofen & Chewing Gum: These are work essentials – ibuprofen for when period pain or a headache strikes and chewing gum to keep my mouth healthy and fresh at all times, especially inbetween meals.

MonuSpa Reviving Rosewood Mist: I got this great spritz in my June Glossybox – check out my full review here. I have ensured this has been in my work bag ever since. It is so refreshing and perfect for a mid-afternoon pick-me-up.

List Book: I love stationery and perusing the goodies in Paperchase. A few months ago I picked up this great list book organiser. Inside is a note pad perfect for lists and a variety of different sized post-it notes. This is great for work to keep track of my workload and prioritising pieces of work.

Work ID Badge: As the name suggests, this is my work ID badge – also is a swipe card to get me into work buildings etc.

Lip Products: My trusted EOS domed shaped lipbalm in the flavour passion fruit – I love these lip balms – check out my full review here. Revlon lip balm stain in the beautiful nude pink shade of honey – easy to apply on the move, hydrating and a great neutral pink colour for work. L’Oréal infallible lipgloss in I got the power – again a beautiful nude lipgloss, perfect for work, long lasting and super hydrating.

Pressed Powder: I love the Bourjois Healthy Mix range and this pressed powder is no exception. This is perfect to keep in my handbag for touch-ups during the day. This powder compact has a mirror inside and I use it with a handy sponge applicator securely kept inside.

Hand Cream: I always keep a hand cream close by and at the moment I am working my way through this one by Garnier. I have had this since the winter as this is great for very very dry skin but it is a bit heavy for the summer. Great hand cream none-the-less.

Diary: My trusted Diary which I cannot function without! Even with all of today’s technology I still enjoy using an old-school paper diary and pen! And true to social worker form I have a diary overfilled with various papers and forms!

Hope you have enjoyed the first instalment of What’s In the Bag? Let me know your thoughts, I love reading and replying to all your comments.
