June Favourites: Beauty and Food

L-R: MonuSpa Rosewood Reviving Mist, Bourjois Aqua Blush, Barry M Gelly Nail Paint Prickly Pear, Rimmel Bestival Blue, Rimmel Glaston-Berry, Liz Earle Signature Blue, Beauty Protector Hair Oil, Maybelline Brow Satin

These are the great products I have been reaching for most throughout the month of June – some are fairly new purchases to me which I bought in June but I haven’t put them down so I just had to include them in my June favourites!

MonuSpa: Rosewood Reviving Mist

I got this in June’s Glossy Box (click for full box review) and it has been by my side ever since. I keep this in my handbag and it’s been great to spritz for a quick freshen up – especially in the changeable humid British summer weather!

I spend the vast majority of my working day in the car driving miles and miles inbetween visits and meetings and I have found this face spritz a real energy booster! Great for a quick refresh. I just adore the rosewood scent. Great handy little product.

Bourjois: Aqua Blush

I have been loving this liquid coral toned blush this month (check out my full review here). It is great for the summer months as it is so lightweight and certainly long lasting. Love this product so may have to pick up another one in a more pink toned shade. Beautiful.

Barry M: Gelly Nail Paint – Prickly Pear

I am so glad I picked this shade up as it is a step outside of my comfort zone for me, but I have no regrets! It is a beautiful creamy lilac shade which really compliments my pale skin tone. When I’ve been wearing this I have had several enquiries as to what it was – great conversation starter! If you’re interested in my full review of this colour and a couple of other Barry M nail polishes I purchased then click here

Rimmel: Bestival Blue & Glaston-Berry

As you all probably know I love painting my nails and am a massive lover of a classic red nail. However more recently I have been trying to mix it up a bit and try lighter shades and I have been impressed. This month I have been drawn to the lighter pastel nail colours and I’ve been loving these two from Rimmel in particular. Bestival is a beautiful soft blue with hints of lilac and Glaston-Berry is a gorgeous creamy red/pink coral shade. Perfect for summer.

Liz Earle: Signature Blue Nail Polish

I love all things Liz Earle so I just had to have this nail polish in the signature blue shade. This is a treatment nail polish with some great botanical ingredients to nourish the nail. The colour is just beautiful and long lasting.

Beauty Protector: Hair Oil

This is the first hair oil I have ever tried which I got in this month Birch Box (full full review of the box click here). I have been using this oil every day since and it has really transformed my hair – taming the frizz and giving me shiny and healthy looking hair whilst also protecting it from UV and heat damage. Maybelline: Brow Satin – Blonde

I have only picked this up recently so I chose not to include it in my It’s all about the brows! post because I haven’t had time to give it a fair and balanced review. I have however been loving using this over the past couple of weeks.

As you can see from the photo above this is a dual-ended brow product. One end a pencil and a sponge powder applicator at the other.

This is a great product for defining and filling in my brows. It is also a great colou match for my light brows – I have been reaching for this a lot during the month of June.

I have also been loving some non-beauty related things this month especially advocado related!

Food Favourites

Mashed advocado on rye bread with a poached or fried (in fry light) egg has been my lunch of choice this month! I have been loving rye bread and just munching on loads of advocados. So filling and delicious! Yummy!

I have also been loving Galaxy Salted Caramel chocolate from their Caramel Collection range. I love Galaxy chocolate and am a massive fan of caramel – especially the sharpness of salted caramel so this is just a perfect combination. Delicious!
Have you tried any of these products? Do you have any recommendations? I love reading and replying to your thoughts and comments.
