Glossybox – June 2015: The Unveiling

This months Glossybox is the festival edit and it certainly does not disappoint – each item has definitely been selected with festivals in mind!

My box contains 5 beauty related items – 4 of which are full size! Great value for a box which costs £10 a month (plus postage and packaging).

So what’s in the box:

L-R: Flash Tattoos, Essence Nail Polish, Halo Facial Wipes, Kueshi Anticellulite Booster, MONU Spa Rosewood Reviving Mist

Flash Tattoos (Full Size £6.50)

These seem to be all the trend at the moment – I also got some in my recent Birchbox. I have yet to actually try these but I am definitely intrigued how they will look 😊.

Essence – The Gel Nail Polish (Full Size £1.71)

I have a polish called Prince Charming which is a beautiful turquoise colour shot with gold and turquoise shimmer – a lovely colour.

As you know, if you have read my blog before, I am a massive nail polish fan, however this is my first experience of the brand Essence.

This polish costs £1.71 and I am impressed. I applied three thin layers to achieve the bold beautiful colour above. The polish has quite a thick consistency and is easy to apply using the wide fanned curved brush. The polish dries quite quickly to a high gloss gel-like finish. It will be interesting to see how long this polish lasts before chipping.

I am in love with the colour – the gorgeous turquoise shot with shimmer reminds me of a mermaid – just beautiful. A very different colour for me – I love to rock a classic bright red nail – however this has definitely grabbed me. Great colour for summer.

Halo – Fragrance Free Facial Wipes (Travel Size £1.20)

I also got some facial wipes in my Birchbox and I have to say I was a bit disappointed. However these ones are fragrance free and in a handy travel size so will be great to keep in my bag or my car – great for sensitive skins!

Kueshi – Anticellulite Booster (Full Size £14.55)

This is a 150ml tube of essentially body lotion – so a good size. It has a lightweight texture and doesn’t have a strong scent – it is pretty much fragrance free. In the description card it boasts this lotion ‘combines a hard-hitting mix of natural ingredients and antioxidants to stimulate blood circulation, in turn toning your skin and fighting off any dimples’. I have to be honest, I am somewhat skeptical of ‘anti-cellulite’ products – I feel that it is the actual physical motion of massaging the parts of the body prone to cellulite which helps to smooth the area rather than any of the ingredients in the product. Therefore I do feel that anticellulite body products are basically overpriced body lotions – and this one is fragrance free! In my opinion it’s the fragrance with is part of the body moisturising experience….. So I am not sure I will use this… Or maybe I should test this out on one leg and use a regular body lotion on the other and see if this anticellulite booster actually makes a difference! Experiment time!

MONU Spa – Rosewood Reviving Mist (Full Size £11.95)

I was excited to see this in my box. My first experience of a face mist was the Vitamin C one I got as a free gift at The Body Shop last week and I have been spritzing it nearly every day to give my face a bit of a ‘pick-me-up’.

This MONU Spa one is simply divine. It has a beautiful scent filled with essential oils of zesty lemon, rosewood and geranium. Rose and lemon are two of my favourite scents so this is a real winner for me. This is a really beautiful uplifting mist which can be spritzed on the face as a quick refresh or used as a body spritz to leave a delicate uplifting scent. This is also a 50ml size bottle – perfect size to keep in my bag when I need a pick-me-up.

All-in-all I am impressed. A great selection. Let me know what you think. If you get Glossybox did you receive anything different?
