I recently ordered a load of origins skin care products to try – they had an offer online where I also received a cute bag and some good size samples to try. I had never tried anything by Origins before but was drawn in by the promises of their face masks.
Facial brush – I haven’t used this yet as I feel it may be too harsh on my skin.
Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask to clear pores – This is a lovely face mask. It’s dark grey in color and a little goes a long way. Soothing to apply and drys within 10 minutes and is easy to wash off (albeit somewhat messy!). Leaves my skin feeling very clean and smooth and good at unclogging my pores. I have been using 1-2 times per week and have seen improvements in my pore size around nose and chin. Great face mask. Not cheap at £23 for 100ml tube but this will last a long time.
Modern Friction Natures Gentle Dermabrasion – This is a cream exfoliator with ‘skin refining rice starch’ to aid buffing away dull dry skin. I use this 2-3 times a week, usually in the morning to wake my skin. Only a small amount is needed to buff the whole face, add a couple of drops of water for a gentle lather. This exfoliator really stings my eyes if it gets too close to them so this has put me off this product as it easily irritates my eyes whereas the Liz Earle exfoliator has no irritation whatsoever. This is expensive at £33 for a 125ml tube. I don’t think I will be repurchasing.
Drink Up Intensive Overnight mask to Quench the Skin – This is a gorgeous hydrating face mask. Has a lovely scent of mango/peach, really uplifting and relaxing. I use this 1-2 times a week in the evening after cleansing. A small amount goes a long way, I just massage all over my face before bed. It is not sticky or tacky and absorbs beautifully overnight without leaving any residue on my pillow. I wake with beautifully plump and hydrated skin. Wonderful. This costs £23 for 100ml tube – so rather pricey, but a little goes a long way and I would repurchase.
Make A Difference Plus Rejuvenating Moisturiser (not shown in photo) – This is a lovely moisturiser for dry skin. I tend to use this each morning. Has an intoxicating fruity scent and is quickly absorbed into my skin – perfect for mornings before applying make up. This costs £34.50 for a 50ml tub. I do love the Liz Earle moisturisers so I am not sure whether this is a keeper in my skin care staples or not….
Samples (not shown on photo) – sample of Drink Up Intensive, Modern Friction, and Clear Improvement Mask – these are great sizes to keep for travelling so very useful. Also received a sample of Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash. This was a thick cream consistency which transformed into a smooth frothy lather with a few drops of water. Lovely cleanser which I have used some mornings, however I have found it really irritating if it gets close/in my eye which is really uncomfortable! Not for me.
Hope you have enjoyed my post – let me know if you have tried any of these products and what you thought. Which Origins products would you recommend? I do love the Charcoal and Drink Up Intensive masks which I will repurchase.
